It has been two days now and I am getting worried. There are no patches or visible marks on the little guy. It is a small ocellaris clown and I have had him for a few monthes now, but two days ago he just stopped eating. Any tips or ideas would be much appreciated.

This happened to me once a few years ago when I first got mine, just about the same amount of time. I got them feeding again with live brine shrimp. Then they started eating everything.

I wouldn't worry about it, these guys eat just about everything. They accept various types of foods, maby try something different. They will come around...

Try granuate a small pinch of flake with your fingers and spread them with your powerhead. Clowns eat everything. The dispersed flake will trigger their feeding response.

it doesn't hurt!

Try some sea veggies. Clowns supplement their diet with algae. Most only feed them meaty foods. She may be craving some veggies.

well it has been almost four days now and his stomach is getting thin. I have tried all kinds of food and he does not seem interested. When I feed brine he appears to go after it but then leaves it alone. There are still no marks or scrapes on his body. I am getting worried now.

Setup a quarantine tank and start medicate him. Caved-in stomach does not sound good to me either. Test your tank water for high nitrate, ph, salinity and alkalinity.

I gave him a freshwater dip for 15 minutes just in case it was early stages of ich. He did not even seem to mind the freshwater at all. I also checked salinity (1.026) and will check other parameters as soon as possible. I have a bunch of other fish who are all eating fine. The sick clown is a male ocellaris and there is a female in the tank too. He does not seem to be picked on by any tank mates.
