It is best used in the display tank itself to direct the flow of output water from your return pump(s).

I do not think it is pressure rated.


Outside our hobby, it is used in cutting/forming machinery for directing the flow of coolant onto the metal that is being cut/formed.

Does it put pressure on your pump to restrict the output like that?

Not if you use the right sized tubing. It restricts flow a little bit, but nothing noticible. I have a bunch in my 180.

The circular nozzle assembly makes a great adjustable "spray bar". If you go to the locline website you can request a list of retailers in your area...

you should only need to use a few inches (6?) at the edge of your tank, you use it as an adjustable, aimable output...

run flex vinyl or PVC or whatever type of plumbing you like up to the back edge of the tank. i plan to use MPT male threaded 1/2" fittings to connect to female PVC fittings.

it won't restrict flow any more than any other tubing of comparable ID.

As an output on the return from the sump?

A little help here... I am new to this and haven't started plumbing my sump and tank yet...

(but always necessarily looking for deals)
