Love the tank.....hmmm...225 gallons you say....hmmm...Did you have to take out the couch? That's the only way I'd have room!

I like the holes in the PVC idea.
Can you post some specs on your set-up? i.e. what size pump? what are the flow rates at each end of the PVC?
The tank looks great!

the pvc (1.5 inch)is setup on a closed loop with a ampmaster 3000 im getting the full flow with it
the pvc is hard glued up to the point where it enters the tank i drilled a hole through both pvc and used a tie wrap to hole it in place
if you look at the secound picture you can see it
i had the ampmaster through the sump but it was to much flow and to many bubbles
i have made the stand and canopy myself
the tank is 72longx30widex24high

I was wondering is that a custom tank? And does did you find that your purple tang is stress free in that size of a tank? And how many pounds of LR are in there?

Good looking tank!! Damn I wish I had seen these pics earlier, however, it still isn't too late. I'm trying to get rid of the powerheads everywhere...great idea on the PVC!! I will certainly be incorporating this as I am currently setting up my sump. How much water flow you got coming out of there?

yes the tank is a custom built for me its made out of 3/4 inch Acrylic with 6x9 overflows
my purple tang has always been ich free (low fish load) it was also in a 135 reef
i really dont have as much rock as it looks
i have so many open caves and overhangs
i will add a little at a time
