New PC lights causing algea bloom??

Have had the new lights, 2 96watt PC, on for two weeks now. One bulb is 7000k, the other is 10000K. Now I'm getting a whole lot of the green algea on the glass that's pretty hard to scrape off. Also am getting some of the brown slimy stuff on the powerheads, thermometer, etc. Is this just a bloom that I need to wait out?? Should I keep on scraping it off or what? I'm leaving the lights on for about 10 hrs a day.

Remove the algae and increase the photo period to 12 hours.

In general lights dont cause algea blooms, nutrients do. Look at your nitrate and P02 as your problem and treat this to get rid of the algea.
