what size fan and how many do you use to drop your tank temp 4 degrees with the lights on? my tank is a closed top but if a the fans you use are different from normal little clip on fans and you can get those results, then i might try whitecapping my sump. Also, i really would follow up on the before mentioned post concerning stray voltage. ground it. are you sure you didn't get your temp mixed up with your tank size?

hope this doesn't sound condescending. (which means to talk down to people)

Dave, since you singled me out I guess I will give an explanation for my last response. If you will notice Bigtanks last post was condescending IMO. The way I interpreted this post is thanks for nothing, you guys didn't tell me what I wanted to hear. Some of us were curious about how he keeps his temp this low, but his last post clearly showed that he wasn't interested in sharing this information with us. Questions/staements about the accuracy of his thermometer are well within the guidelines of trying to help him solve his problems. You see it as calling him a liar when he states things that are out of the norm for reef keeping (70 degrees), I feel if you make those statements on these boards then have some data to back it up.
