I apologize if this is off topic but I just got an e-mail from someone off this forum who tried to infect my computer with a virus - I'm sure it was not intentional, but I want to take this opportunity to suggest to everyone out there who is using a PC to...
PLEASE GET RID OF MICROSOFT OUTLOOK!!
There is yet another virus/worm running around the Internet that exploits one of the many security holes in Microsoft's e-mail program. Do yourself and everyone else online a favor by boycotting this horribly-designed software. There are a ton of very good FREE e-mail programs that are much better and don't compromise the security and privacy of your computer/data (Personally, I like Eudora - www.eudora.com and it's free).
I'm prompted to write this because my network and mail servers are being bombarded by yet another rash of Microsoft Outlook-based email bombing worm programs. People should stay away from that software - it's like a plague on the Internet!
Ok, end rant, but please if you use this POS program, do yourself a favor and get rid of it - it's not a question of IF you will get hit, but WHEN.
