I recently added a tomato clown that I had kept 2 yrs in a 20 gal tank with no anenome to my 75 gal tank that has a huge carpet and bubble coral that he has taken a liking(adoring) too. I cannot get near anything in the tank without the clown attacking my hand. I have never seen one so aggressive. He will not even let me clean the glass before he starts taking nibbles at me. Scared me half to death the first time he did it... hehehe. Not used to having something come at me in the tank. He was never like this in the 20 gal... any ideas on how to handle him and get the tank clean, corals moved or added etc? He won't even let me get close enough to feed the carpet.

Same here, still have a nice little scar from the MH burn the first time it happened

Mine also became much more aggressive when I added a BTA, I guess it is just them protecting their spot. When it comes to feeding, I usually feed on one side of the tank, and then when the fish are eating, slip a little down to my BTA on the other. I also find the aggression isn't as bad when I am not on his side of the tank

My mated pair of percs will attack anything that gets near their anemone including my hand. I have invested in a long scraper and long tongs and when me or my husband has to stick our hand in the tank one of us has to keep the clowns at bay by distracting them with the scraper or something. You are definitley not alone one this!
