My tank is a 125 Gallon reef set up 1.5 month ago. Nitrites, Nitrates and ammonia are 0 (I used cured live rock). I have plenty of filamentous algaes and I was thinking on getting a blenny (salarias fasciatus) to help. My questions are: do I need to put him in quarantine? Is he prone to ich? Can I put him directly in my Display Tank?
Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad english!

Ceser, I have had experience with 2 LM blennies. Both of them were bad. Neither one of them ate any of the hair algea that I intended on them eating. They first nibbled on some of the small new algea, then they weathered away to nothing. Both of them died. Nothing I could do to save them. I will never get another one. All of my other fish and inverts are OK. I have read of others with the same experience. Some also said they do great. Looks like a toss up, and I don't like toss up's. Hope my experience helps with your desicion.

It's always a good idea to quarantine any fish before adding it to the display tank. At least 2 weeks and 3 to 5 weeks is even better.
