Sohol has a Sore

O just noticed that my Sohol has two spots which look like sores. The are not open or bleeding or anything like that. But they were not there a couple of days ago.

I just added a large purple Long-Tentacle coral to the tank. Could it be stinging him? My greatest concern is some sort of bacterial infection.

Thanks, Len. I will send you the pic as soon as I get home. I will also include a pic of some maroon growth in my sand bed which has intrigued me.
