I thought it's a pretty good book. I like the lifespan info about each species and more of Sprungs awesome pic's. It's really good for a quick ID and general hardiness indicator. What do you guys think about it?

To tell the truth, I didn't like his corals book too much. I was spoiled by TRA 1&2. Guess I was expecting a little more info on care of the corals like Scott Michaels pocket Guide to Marine Fishes. Can't complain though because it is titled "A Quick Reference Guide". Does the invertebrate book not cover corals since he already covered them in his previous book? I would like a good invertebrate book on the care & IDing of the"other" invertebrates. Does it identify the little thingees that one sees in a reef aquarium?

It's called Invertibrates: a quick reference guide. It covers all non corals like mushrooms, anemones, clams, snails, tunicates...

I think i'd like it better if mine was autographed

I think it's great. More informative than his Corals book. Awsome pics too. Is it a must have? No, however I think anyone looking to build a good library of reference books should have a copy.

To me the current best books generally are Borneman's Coral book and anything by Scott Michaels. Lots of great info combined with beautiful pictures nicely reproduced. Sprungs book devotes a lot of space to repetitive forms when I would liked to have heard more anecdotal info from Julian himself. Also the quality of the pics is so-so, in my opinion. That said, I still enjoyed reading it and would recommend it.

Alright, alright. Just send it in and I will autograph it. Do you want my name or Sprung's?

I really liked Sprungs Coral quick reference guide. It's definitely easier to digest than his two-volume work and very useful when you just need to check on basic requirements or aggresiveness of corals. If the invert book is similar, I'll definitely be picking one up.

Anyone know what the best source/price for this publication is?

We have had it for about two weeks now. Most customers who have purchased it seem to like
it. It is a great, basic ID book. I think Julian has improved on this format from "Corals: A Quick Reference Guide." Very few good Invert books exist, so this is a great addition to any fish library. Also, speaking of Julian Sprung, The Reef Aquarium Volume 3 is due out soon.

As for best prices, I cannot post any here, but I think we do.
