Does anyone know of a pre-made auto power kill unit that one would use to kill the power to a pump in case of a power outage?I dont want the power to come back on and flood my house due to a syphon being broken.
Thanks Josh

What kind of overflow do you have?

One thing you may be able to do is hook your pump up to a float switch, the Lifereef switches come to mine. Set this in your sump at the lowest level you want your pump to draw. It will shut the pump off when the sump gets too low.

If your overflow is very close to the top of the tank, you may not have enough "reservior space" in the tank for the extra sump water before the float switch shuts the pump off.

This system may not work if you have a gravity feed kalk topoff system in your sump(like me).

I have a CPR CS50 overflow that should restart. It is hooked to a venturi system on my sump pump to keep it bubble free. I have my sump pump wired with a float switch to keep my sump level where I want it.
