saving an anemone

My friend has a pink tip anemone that is failing to adhere to the substrate. It appears to be in a bad way at this point and barely opens up at all. He has really poor lighting IMO (2 normal outputs) and has been battling cyano for some time.

Not to sound like an a--hole, but my tank parameters far excede his and I have much better lighting. Is it too late to save him?

If it is still willing to eat, it could be salvagable. FWIW, condy anemones can grow in NO lighting if they are fed on a semi-regular basis. I recommend feeding them even if they are under intense lighting.. I think that's where alot of people fail with them.

Last I inquired he would still take food. Maybe I can salvage him.

BTW, that barnacle blenny is damn cool. He adopted a new hole in a barnacle encrusted rock and seems very content. Are they considered fairly rare? I have not seen them anywhere besides your shop.

I don't think they are particularly rare.. but since they come from the pacific side of SA, there is only one or 2 collectors in that region, so there just aren't alot of people offering them right now.
