KALK REACTOR AND LUGOLS?

Just wondering if lugols iodide dosing is necessary with Kalkreactor in use. My 180 gal reef has been running for 3yrs now and all supplemnts discontinued except lugols. Do any of you with kalkreactors let your system run with no other supplements????

You'll find that not many people on this board advocate any non calcium/alk suppliments like lugols. A kalkreactor (either a calcium reactor or a kalkwasser reactor) will not add iodine to your system. I still use iodine though, not sure if it makes much of a difference but it's not hurting anything.

I add Lugols to my tank. My Xenia ssem to like it. They pulse more the day after I add it.
