Coral or Mushroom?

I got this strange coral from a bud that thought it was a elephant ear.. But it looks nothing like an elephant ear... Any ID?


I think it kinda looks like a cabbage coral but I am not sure!!!

Any help would be great!!!

That could be a Protopalythoa grandis, a type of zoanthidea. It is difficult to tell from the photo. Here is a picture of one of mine:

Looks like my cabbage too. I have a picture on my website if you want to see what the look like when they grow up. Mine is very hardy and seems to like alot of light and mild to mid current.

I have had a cabbage for about 2 years now.. Mine has not grown fast.. Is the same basic size now as it was 2 years ago.. I wonder if chemical warfare got the best of it?
