Lighting Question

Last year I purchased an Oceanic 135 gallon and tank with the hood from my LFS. The subject of lighting came up and I was told to go with Power Compacts. Went with 4 96 watt pc lights. After doing some reading on here for awhile I believe he had sold me what was best for him and not for me.

So what is the best way to light the tank ? I want to keep the hood . Any ides would be greatly appreciated.

Some people will say MH are the way to go and some will say VHO are the way to go. Don't trash your PC's you can use them as supplement lighting. What do you planon keeping in your tank.

Would like to keep some clams and SPS down the road .

Dan asked the best question for this. It is important to ave a plan before running ahead. There ae different requirements for different corals, so knowing what you want to keep determines what you do.
