WTF is a lollipop coral? Oh, that cracks me up. What is next, "bubble gum polyps." hehe

I think the coral in question might not even be a coral at all....I think it's a stalked colonial tunicate, right?

Whatever it is...if you've got something that is eating Xenia...you are lukcy!

Cheers

Lollipop is occasionally used in reference to caulastrea, that I know of.

Caulastrea is a candy coral, right??? That hard coral is doing just fine. Lollypop coral is a soft coral, it's blue, grows heads on the top of each branch then loses them and molts to grow new ones every couple weeks...

ok.

UM what have you got against fish, crabs, and starfish?

How bout a powder brown tang? Mine loves the xenia. I don't grow it in that tank and don't feed it to him anymore for fear of him developing a taste corals of all sorts.

That's like no coral I've ever heard of. I'd have real doubts that it's a coral at all, to be honest.

Caught the little bugger last night! It was a nudibranch. It look so much like the Xenia it took him wiping out almost every colony before i found him. His back even pulsated like the Xenia. One crazy look'n creature. I have a pic but don't know how to post. He is over 2 inchs long!
