red mushrooms

I have a rock with a number of red mushrooms on it,problem is that they seem very small.
Could anybody recommend the best location for mthese corals?

What's your lighting and water movement like? They generally don't like or need intense lighting or strong water movement.

2Poor is correct. Find sheltered/shaded areas in your rockwork. How long have you had them? They take a little while to get going, but once they get established they'll take off in size and numbers.

I have mine siting half way up my tank.

they seame to love it ther growinglike crazy.

best thing is low light and low current, once there..leave it alone for a week or so and it will be fine.

All that has been said is true. Put them in a dim spot. If they appear to be reaching up at the light, then move them someplace a little brighter.

Hi,what about blue or purple mushrooms?What are their requirements then?Does the intensity of the lighting change the colours of shrooms?And if so,would a blue turn red,green or brown, or in what sequence under what type of lighting?Hmm...

I have never noticed any correlation between corallimorph color and lighting requirements. That may just be because they all require so (relatively) little light. I have never had any mushroom change color on me. At least not to any significant degree. Nothing like an sps does.

I have red kobolly shroomz and they do seem to like a little more light than the blue or green ones. If i ever put them in the shade they allways reach oyut and trumpet searching for light. When they were moved out into the open they blew up massive. But on the other hand i do only have flourecent bulbs but it still works out to 5 watts per gallon.
