Hello All,

I am in the process of buying a new skimmer. I won't tell you what my current skimmer is. I was looking online has any ever heard of a APA skimmer 150. Any info would be greatly appreciated so that I don't make the same mistake again.

Thanks,
JAS

Hi Jas!

Never heard of it, are you looking ar it in a local shop or mail order? If it's a local shop, what one?

I agree with Louie, don't skimp on your skimmer, you will regret it if you do!

I've never heard of it, either, but I'm new to this. I just replaced my SeaClone (piece of crap, by the way) with an Aqua C Remora. It's been up for two days and it has already pulled 10 times as much gunk out of the water than the SeaClone did in an entire month.

I've never heard of APA.

If you get a Lifereef, you will be done. Others on this board may recommend a Euroreef or others. There are several other High-End skimmers out there that may be worthy of consideration.

Search this board for skimmers. Read all the threads, then decide. Don't skimp on the skimmer. It'll be money well spent. My Lifereef pulls out the most disgusting smelling crap I've ever smelled. Smells like a porta-john, at best. My old skimmer pulled out brown gunk, but it didn't nearly smell this bad.
