Can I hook a second water pump to my sump just for running my heater and uv?
I want to hook up my second pump and go through my heater then go through
the uv then back into my sump. Like a loop. Will this work? Will this heat
up my water? My sump is in the basement. I didn't want to hook it all up to
the main pump because I don't want to lose any water pressure. I just want
to know if it will heat up the water set up that way. I have a 225 gal. and
I have a fire plug 1000 watt heater.

I have never used UV but if Im not mistaken, they require low water flow to effectively expose any undersirables to enough UV radiation to kill them.
Depending on the wattage of the device, the flow rate can be anywhere from 150-300 GPH. Some other models have even higher rates

I would think a lot depends on how much you need to heat the water.
I see you live "Up-North".
If the room temp is low and the flow rate thru the heating modul to low for the heater to work, you could always add a second heater in the sump
(during really cold spells) or get a UV with a higher flow rate.
I would also place the intake for the second pump as far away from the outlet as space allows in the sump.
