I've noticed that my pH, ORP, and Temp probe have creatures growing on them. I guess I may have biffed it by not doing routine cleaning - but I must ask this.

Is there a way to clean the probes? And, should they have a regular maint cycle where I clean them up?

I did re-calibrate the pH probe every month - but didn't really pay attention to it until recently.

Thanks.

Just use a soft bristle toothbrush with diluted vinegar water...works like a charm. Do this each month or as required.

Temperature probes need no cleaning.

If the pH electrode calibrates OK, it doesn't need cleaning either. Soaking in acid then very gently wiping it with a soft cloth is a good way.

ORP probes can be treated similarly.

Thank you everyone.

I'll add these to my monthly task list.

I just never really thought about the probes until recently...I should have known.

Thank you again, have a good day.
