Where is the best place to get bristle worms fire worms, and other small sand dwellers? My sand needs to come alive with creatures. I purchased a detrivore package online about 3 weeks ago. That was expensive and 3 weeks later I have no sign of any of the worms or Amphipods. I'm thinking - these are worms and bugs for @#$% sake - It shouldn't cost me 80 bucks for a handful of worms! Seems like a lot of people somehow get these things naturally in their reefs but I am not sure how.

Get some live sand, all you need is about 5 pounds, and spread it around. Your sand bed will be teaming with life within a few weeks.

Make sure you get the real livesand, not the pre-packaged ones. The prepackaged live sand are precoated with bacteria, not necessarily the pods and worms.

be patient. there are likely some with your live rock / sand, and they'll grow in time. I had hardly any when I first got my tank going, and now I have tons.
