We had 71 pieces of coral stuck at an airport far away from our store and from the shipper. Although it pales in comparison to the loss of human life from those terrorists i can't imagine how many fish/corals are going to die at airports tonight...

I'm feelin' for all the families and the people still trapped inside...

I've got a few boxes of fish & coral out there too monkeyboy.. I've had stuff survive up to 72 hours in the past.. how much loss depends on how long the air ban drags on and species involved.
It does pale in comparison to the loss of human life.. but it is still maddening.. add it to the pile of stuff these people need payback for.

I hear ya. I ordered a clean up crew from etropicals yesterday. When I got up this morning and saw the news I imediately checked FedEx tracking and sure enough, my package had already been recieved at the Seattle facility. I lucked out.

Cubera, ditto to your comments. The day of sitting back, and shrugging our shoulders, is gone forever. We lost a few shippments today as well. Including one from Australia, which will hopefully come in on Sunday. We were lucky enough, that Quantas let us consign the order, to one of our Hawaiian suppliers. May God bless those unfortunates, of today, and may hell, get ready for those they are about to receive, when the U.S. Military Machine, goes berserk.

Apparently they found a shop to buy all 9 boxes of wild caught corals and clams and they got a sweet deal. I have no idea where they're going to put all this stuff but at least they aren't sitting there rotting. I'm sure they'll open at 12, i think the danger has passed.

We lucked out. We sent out 24 frags in 4 boxes late yesterday. One was delayed several hours but finally arrived in good shape. We have had them survive up to 48 hours (longest FedEX SNAFU to date) and they did just fine (all SPS can't speak for LPS or softies.) There is still hope that everything you sent out might still arrive alive as the airports will be open tomorrow. Commerce will continue and our country will press on. I am very glad that we won't be on the receiving end of that big stick when the U.S. responds to these cowards who target civilians. I am quite sure that whatever business they conduct will be eradicated permanently. I seriously doubt people in Gaza will be praising God and passing out candy then as they could very well all end up as charcoal. Like most Americans, we are extremely pissed off and will not rest until this situation is resolved in an overwhelmingly violent fashion. Forget political correctness. Those days are gone forever. There will be no hiding behind the Koran this time.
