You simply divide the amounts of gallon by the number of watts. Although tank depth is a little more important than general size especially concerning PC's. Your PC's should have how many watts they are printed on them somewhere.

Watts per gallon is not a good measurement. It is like determining how good a driver you are by the size of your right foot (Acceleration/braking foot). Tell us what kind of lamps you have, the dimensions of your tank, and what you want to keep and we will give you suggestions on lighting.

I HAVE 2 -250 MH AND 2 110 VHO ACTINIC ON MY 120 , IS THIS ENOUGH LIGHT?I HAVE A MIX OF SPS LPS AND A FEW SOFTIES..( MOSTLY GOING SPS) IS THIS ENOUGH?
