Orange Capricorn was my first sps. I got it about a month ago from another reefer. It did nothing for the first couple weeks butnow has impressive color and growth rates. Sps need 3 basic necessities,Light, calcium, and alk.

Ernie, "Millepora" as in Milleporina (hydrozoan fire "coral"), or as in Acropora millepora?

For M. capricornis and P. damicornis, if intense light, strong water movement, and optimal values (as in natural seawater) of Calcium, alkalinity, pH, etc. are maintained, these animals have no problem thriving vigorously in captive reef environments. Be sure, that if you get to visually select what you buy, look for a healthy specimen: no active recession, etc.

I made a trip last week to Lone Star Corals in San Antonio. He has several different millepora choices. Also saw some pink pocillipora and yellow pocillipora. I have been there several times and all of his corals are top notch in quality and health. Can't beat his prices either.

If your reef is supporting other SPS then you should do well with these.

Here is a pic of one I picked up last week. This pic does not do the sky blue tips justice.

P. damicornis is a VERY hearty SPS coral. It is well known in the scientific community as one of the "frontier species" that is first to colonize an area of reef that has been damaged in a storm, bleaching, etc.

For the most part, ALL montipora are very hearty corals as well. I have seen them growing in 1' of water in fiji where the temperature regularly got to 90 degrees farenheit!

Hope that helps,
