mine are..lol i just got my sailfin last night, and he and my blue (blue eye ) tank arte going at it.. they will get over it or one will die.. its the way of the fish..
I would say it also depends on your tank size. I have a yellow and a desjardini in my 150 with only 2 other fish and they fought for 24 hours, but now they are fine and swim together. HTH
Even though both fish are small...IMO, I think your 75 is too small to house both of those fish. They will grow larger and in the long run, you would be better off not doing it. Good luck with whatever you choose.
I won't chance it, then...the algae will have to be eaten over a longer period of time, but I'm not killing a fish over quick algae removal. The lfs has a 2.5" Naso, as well, but they get 12" I have heard...
IME, naso tangs do not do well in reef tanks. They are active swimmers and need a whole lot of room to swim around. When I have seen them in the wild (and also in captivity in huge ponds/streams in Hawaii) they have more or less swam and swam and swam (although little ones in the wild seem to swim until they find food, and then swim again). Nasos also get larger than 12", I have seen them over a foot in Hawaii (again, in the pond/stream with long tail streamers and also very pronounced spikes on their tails).
