2 quick question?

A few quick questions:

Do fish hear noises, like a door closing 15 feet away?
Do fish play? It seems my tang and angel are partners in play?


I just had to take apart my tank to remove 2 damsels. The dams were attacking any fish that came close. Now my fish are enjoying the whole tank and they seem to be happier. I would never recommend Dams for an aquarium unless it is huge.

Fish can definitely hear sounds like a door slamming. In fact, it can be a major source of stress to them if they are exposed to sudden loud noises constantly.
As to whether they play. I think that they do. I'm sure it serves some purpose to their survival, but I know they like to "play" around divers on the reef.
