Hiya folks,

I just moved my 40 gallon reef today in preparation for a new (bigger) tank. I am going to keep it set up until the new tank has cycled and everything is going well then transfer some stuff. Anyway, while moveing it I noticed on the back wall and in the back corners where I don't get as clean there are these little white looking things that are almost like tiny snails of even tube worms in a curley cue but they don't seem to move. The look like little white specks almost like fleas but again they don't appear to move. I scraped them off with alot of the algae and noticed later that they had moved to the live rock. Now I have a bunch of little white specks on my live rock. They don't seem to be bothering anything but I am stumped. Can't seem to find them in the books. Any ideas?

Another question while I am at it. Do any of you have a goby and shrimp symbiotic relationship working out? I just bought the pair but the are on opposite ends of the tank and both staying pretty high, not like I expected. (kinda like a date or two I have been on)...

Thanks
Harrison

They sound like small feather duster worms. They are entirely beneficial. Look close and you should see the small hair-like filaments coming out one end. They are filter feeders.

I kinda thought they looked like that too but these are tiny. Like the size of a pin head. I don't see any fibers but that is with the naked eye. I am looking for a magnifying glass now to look closer. Do feather dusters produce little tiny baby dusters? (lots of them)
