New tank, running 2mths NEED HELP wierd things growing

I recently noticed under a peice of liverock there was something growing. It looks white and fuzzy, almost like a few threads of white cotton candy. Im not sure what it is and if I should remove it. Thanks for your help.

update the funny looking stuff has a slight green tint to it anyone have any ideas, is it harmfull, should I remove it? thanks, casye

No there is an will be a kinds of neat stuff you find under and in the rocks.
What you have is common. Don't worry about it.

at what point should i start water changes? when doing tests what should I not let the water levels get above, its a fish only tank with live rock and live sand.

Don't worry about it. It is probably a sponge

It could also be a protozoan. Check the hitchhiker FAQ for white, cottony looking things.
