What i did when i needed to catch my yellow tail and 3 stripe is, i propped a rock up in the corner of the tank. This rock needs to be flat. I then manipulated the fish into the corner with two 5" nets. When he went behing the rock, i blocked both entrances/exits and scared him out. They swam directly into one of the nets. The little buggars fell for it both times and it only took about 5 min.

Goodluck, they are quick!

Aren't damsels fun! Here are a couple of methods that have worked for me

I cut the ziplock ends off of a large plastic bag (to make it harder to see in the water)then let the bag float open behind some hiding holes.

I also made my own fish trap by sacrificing one of my siphoning tubes. I simply cut it in half so it was about 4" and used a rubberband to put saran wrap on one end. A few pieces of brine shrimp and I simply cupped my hand over the end when the little bugger finally swam in.

Good luck

Howdy,

The 2 net method has always worked for me. I use a smaller net to chase the fish and a large one to grab them.

I just lean the large net in a corner and corral the fish into it with the smaller net.

Good luck,

Scott.
