I too would like to thank you. It took very little effort to aid in the survey. I hope you got some good information from it. BTW, is it ok to download and print for personal use?
Your knowledge and expertise would be of great value to our discussions in the new "Industry Behind the Hobby" Forum. Hope to see you there!http://www.reefs.org/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=forum&f=35
I want to express my thanks to all of you that participated in my recent survey on the status and activities of marine ornamental hobbyists, commercial breeders, and scientists. I received 325 returns from hobbyists, 34 from commercial breeders and 49 from scientists. And this was enough to provide some interesting insights into the marine ornamental hobby and industry as it exists today. It will probably change in the next few years but the trends that will lead to the future are present in the data in this survey. The results of the survey were presented at the Marine Ornamentals 2001 conference sponsored by Sea Grant (and others). The conference graciously printed the survey data for the attendees and also placed this report on the conference web site as a PDF file. It can be accessed at http://conference.ifas.ufl.edu/mo/moe.pdf
So if you contributed to the survey and would like to see the resulting data you may go to that web site and find it. OK, even you didn’t contribute to the survey; you can still go there and find it. Actually its OK if you didn’t contribute, analysis of 408 survey forms was about all I could do in the allotted time.
