Hello Everyone!!
Im a newbie to the hobby! All that i have learned has been from reading sites like these and books ive found at local shops! I would like to get some advice about protein skimmers from someone other than the person trying to sell one to me. I just want someone a bit more objective : )
I have had my eye of a 90 gallon all-glass pre drilled. Im planning on putting in both live rock & sand. I was planning on using a 20 gallon all-glass for a sump, where im gonna stick my heater and my skimmer : ) (im pretty sure the 20 is big enough...hope so)
I have looked at several types of skimmers. I cant decide if i want a venturi air induction system, which i heard can make the best foam fractionation. At the same time i see the skimmers with the air stones that people say are more depedable & the air stones are easier to replace.
Any advice would be much appreciated. Would like to hear from anyone who has tried a venturi air induction....are they as dependable as the air stones?
Thanks for taking the time to read my post. Hope to hear from you!
Thanks
Rob Willett
