the nurce?? (top up system)

I have the Nurce A. If you are going to be have a reef tank, you should likely go with the one which you can use with Kalk.
It of course costs big bucks to get to Canada. And make sure you have the hoses curving right before you cut them, or they'll always twist.
Mine worked like a charm on the 72g. I moved it to the 155g and the hoses are a bit short and twist so it keeps loosing siphon. I have to get new hoses.
Also, be sure you have the room to put it where you want it. It has to sit at a specific level in relation to the sump (ours is on a little stool).
It's for sure something that could be DIY'd easy enough, if you have any skills in that area. I certainly don't.

Lynn, I used a DIY nurse a few years ago but have changed to a dosing pump with a 40 gallon container. The good part about a dosing pump is you can place it and the container you are dosing from in another room.

I have been hot to get one of these for a while, but the maker has been on Christmas vacation for about four months according to their web site.
I am currently using a drip which takes constant fiddling, and as the reef is way over budget already I don't want to deal with a dosing pump setup.
Anyone else with experience with the Nurce I would also be interested in your comments...

i have been using the model b for almost a year and love it to death. the only thing i would change is the size, i should have bought the 20+g unit vs the 6g one i currently have. (my 100g evaporates about 3-4g a day)
although the initial cost is a little on the high side, in the long (long, long) run you save money since the unit does not require electricity to function correctly.
go buy one!

actually, i don't think it is the dry air. i live fairly close to the ocean and the air is usually decently humid.
i run halides/vho's and my tank and sump are not covered, plus i have about 3000gph-ish water movement in my system. i believe the combo of water movement and uncovered system is the main reason why i evaporate so much a day. strange thing is that i evaporate at about the same rate during the summer as i do during the winter.
