Hi rhodes,
I live in Evansville Indiana and I have been looking everywhere for southdown.Where in Louisville is this Home depot.I dont know Louisville that well so some directions would be great.e-mail me as I have a couple of questions.I tried to e-mail you and it didnt work.

As for how hard it was, marginal....Being at the right place at the right time, and the right person. In this case it was the Lawn and Garden
mngr. HD has a set protocal for using certain vendors, it starts with a SKU # being activated in their ordering system by someone superior to the store level. Once that SKU# is active for the vendor the individual stores are able to order from that vendor. So, that is what happened here.... That's not to say that you can't request a intra-store transfer of SD. There are many "threads" that tell how to go about that process. You just need to do a little homework first. This is now going to be a regular item at this location! I got lucky, it seems that SD makes a pelletized lime (slower release) for lawns and gardens. So, I asked them about the sand, and we went from there.
