I was wondering if anyone has seen their clam spawn? Im not sure if it actually is but it repeatedly oozes out millions of these little white specs almost like bubbles...making my water cloudy. Is it just eggs and does it need sperm or are they asexual?

So putting in a new largae imported clam might cause an old tank raised clam to spawn?

I should say "gonadal material not in-situ".
More precisely, only eggs and sperm present in the water stimulate others to spawn, not the anatomical presence of another species of tridacnid.
