Hi! I want the plumbing that is visible in the tank to blend into the black backround, but the only way to do that is to "paint" the pvc black. is there a safe way to do this or does someone sell black pvc?
thanks!

The easiest thing to do, is to tape newspaper over everything that you do not want to paint.(ie..tank, wall, electrical cords, filter system,) this may seem like a lot to do but considering that you want to replace the pvc this is really the easiest way to solve your problem. all you will need is newspaper, masking tape, and Black spray paint.

As long as no paint will hit the same place as the water you're fine. Paint won't leach through pvc, unless it has some ungodly chemical in it.

hi.
humu is talking about pvc pipe inside the tank, which in contact with water both inside and outside surface... right?

Coralline should grow over it, making the color unimportant.
