I saw a really nice orange plate coral at the lfs yesterday. I passed on it since don't know much about them. However, I've been tempted to go back and get it. Does anyone know if they are possible to keep in an aquarium? If so, how much light would they need?

According to Sprung's coral book if it is a "fungia" plate coral. it is a free living flat or dome shaped usually circular or oval colonies with a central mouth. Here's their ratings. They like 3-10 light , 1-10 water flow, 4 aggressiveness, and 8 hardness.
Take a look at the one I have ( 220 tank) and see if it's the same? I have mine on the substrate and it has real good water flow over it. Hasn't moved yet.
