It is very difficult to locate marine fish stores in your area if you are looking outside of your city. If you could list your LFS with address and if you like them in Southeast Florida it would help locate stores that people might not know about. ( Jupiter to Miami area )
I shop mainly at
Barrier Reef in Boca Raton-large selection of corals & fish
Oceans Below in North Palm Beach- again large selection of corals & fish(harbor branch clams)
I use these less frequently
Creative Sea Systems, N.Palm Beach-good price's both livestock and dry goods but small dark store
Jewels from the Sea, W.P.B.
Boca Sea Aquariums, Boca Raton
Coral Sea Aquariums, W.P.B.-all around ok, (harbor branch clams)
Mark's Ark, Lake Worth-small store but has different fish
Salt Water Innovations, West Boca Raton

Gables Aquarium-Coral Gables/South Miami (305)-662-7300
Great supply of Corals, fish, and inverts. Direct shipments of Marshall Islands CLams, and Geroge goes to the wholesalers 3 times a week to pick out new fish. Very cool store, and Friday nights is Rum and Coke Happy hour...but I didn't tell you that

Strictly Fish- Bird Rd. South Miami

Good store, along the same lines as Gables Aquarium, but no Rum and Cokes...

The best store in Ft. Lauderdale is Coral Sea's on the SE corner of 441 and Prospect Road. Eva and Rob are true hobbiests and have good prices and a good selection of corals.
PetSupermarket at 4001 N Federal Hwy in Ft. Lauderdale has a good selection of fish(no corals). This is the only PetSupermarket that carries SW fish.Larry runs the fish department and selects all the fish from a wholesaler in Miami. He is also a hobbiest and has a 180G SPS tank.

Larry's really cool and all the LFS's look at me crosseyed when I tell them I've bought fish at Pet Supermarket. They have some great fish there.

My personal favorite store is Marine Scenes on 74 Ave. off of Bird Road, They have some of the nicest corals I have ever seen, and I have yet to see a sick or dying fish in any of their tanks.
I also often go to Gables Aquarium. They have a good selection of live rock.

While we're on the subject, I visited Reef Life on Ravenswood and Stirling near Bass Pro Shops today. They are under new ownership, have discovered Miracle Mud, a lot of the corals looked pretty healthy, and all of the fish looked great. They have two HUGE Elegance corals, but could not identify a purple firefish (the guy insisted it was a neon goby). I usually don't expect the LFS workers to know everything, but I hate when they think they do. Tiny shop, but they do have some nice stuff there.

I would not say they were pushy, but they did seem to want to make a sale, almost nervouse. Judging by some of the older stock there, it looked like the store had gone to pot, and someone is trying to rebuild the business. I wish them luck and have my eye on some cool green hairy shrooms. Let's hope my nitrates go away.

Gables is a great store! We go there several times a month and always find great livestock at a great price! Strictly fish is another good store. Exotic Aquariums is not bad either. There is a new store in South Miami called Aquariumart. Located off US 1 between Sunset (72 St.) and Ludlam (67 Ave.). They are very new, but have an incredible 600 gal. reef set up! Nice stuff in there, but again they are very new at reefing.
