what does a molting emerald crab look like?

I was wondering if anybody has seen thier emerald crab before it molts? Does it start to turn white on the back of its caripice? I don't often see mine and when I did I noticed his back is turning white as well as his sides. Any ideas? :?

Oh, Com'on, Ironchef must know what softshell crabs look like! I bet you deal with them all the time......... :mrgreen:

FYI, I never seen the molt shell of mithrax that I used to have.

Man Hippo I DO LOVE softies, thas why I need to know if my emerald turning white is a sign hes going to shed. If it is I might try to fish him out for a quick snack! On a serious note I just want to make sure he's not sick.
