Quick help needed!

Hi all. I'm headed out of town and my MH light just stopped working. It's a 6 month old 250w 10k Ushio from lampsnow. When I turn it on, the ballast buzzes, but the light doesn't fire. I've checked all my connections and waited for the light to restrike, but no luck.

Any ideas/experiences out there?

I haven't used this bulb personally, but alot of people report problems with ushio 250's on standard ballasts... that's usually from day 1 tho, not 6 months later. Might see if you can get a different bulb and see if it fires or not (preferably a non-ushio 250).

Could be the ballast if it is over a year old. Take both to a LFS and have both the ballast checked (with a new bulb) and the the bulb checked on their new ballast.
A couple of days is OK.

If you have more than 1 light, switch bulb and see if this is a bulb or ballast problem then go from there. I always keep some old bulbs around in case something happen to my bulb. It is handy also to have extra ballast around. I can't help you more than this.
