Hardwood floor?
Don't bother!
I have hard wood floors in my kitchen. They used to be REALLY NICE!
But then one day I left my RO/DI going and remembered it at lunchtime... at WORK.... ARGHHHHH!
Needless to say, the floor is not so nice anymore.
Consider that sometimes water may spill onto that nice new floor and if you don't catch it in time, it will warp, curl or splinter.

& they say those engineered wood floors can resist against warping and water damages.... My A$$. I even have pergo warped on my and have to get them to replace a section of the floors.
