I have a fish that I put into the hospital tank a week ago to treat him for ich. Now the white spots are gone, but it left what look like scars in place of the white spots. It might be from him scratching on rock, but he looks like he needs to go on acne medication!

Will those affected areas go away? Should the fish look exactly like it did to start with after he's been cured? :?

Ich generally does not leave scars, and I'm guessing what happened is as you've described: the specimen damaged itself by scratching against an abrasive surface. Wounds to the dermis and epidermis usually heal over time through replacement or repair. There are particular cases where certain wounds do not heal completely (e.g. deep/large wounds, caudal peduncle severed, etc.) Fish possess pretty remarkable regenerative abilities, but the extent of repair depends on the species and extent of wound.

I would feed it garlic extract soaked food as there is some evidence that it has anti fungal and anti bacterial properties.
Add some selcon as well.
