Nice work Albert!

Hey man, how'd you get that horizontal 'flame-shape' of dark sand in your sandbed on the right side of the picture?

All the store had as far as dry snad that day was Estes Ultra reef. I needed a bit extra to make my DSB deep enough. I think it's either super-fine aragonite or possibly silica. Either way it's only 5 out of 90 lbs of sand bed, and I have 15 lbs of it left should anyone want it. The stripes are cool, glad you like it, I hope my fishies do as much or more than you did! :P

Have you stocked it completely with reclaimed Ocean rock, with like one chunk of LR kin the middle?

If so, nice one. Ill be interested to see how it colonises.

actuall that's at least 80 lbs. of fiji rock, 10 lbs of caribbean rock, all the rock was recycled from other aquariums and has a lot of life on it. The rock on the left had very little coralline, and although it looks dead, I assure you it's full of pods and worms and slugs and snails.

it does look allot more live than regular Ocean rock, sorry man my mistake. Still give it a couple of months and the whole thing will be frosted in purple anyway.

There's a ton of coraline on the right hand side. There used to be even more on those same rocks, but I killed it all on purpose by keeping it in a dark container so I could get rid of the GHA. I have a 5 stage RO/DI now, and feed less in a larger tank, so hopefully the GHA won't be too bad this time.
