I have a bunch of corals in my 180. What is the best way to get my New BTA to find a spot without it tumbling around the tank getting stung? The Foot is withdrawn right now, so I can't hold it in one spot like I have done in the past.

When I first put my Rose in my tank it's foot was somewhat retracted as well but as soon as it sensed rock it latched on in seconds. I might try finding a nice crevice area and holding it there for a few minutes, it might surprise you and latch onto the rock rather quickly. I'm sure others with more experience can chime in as well.

I just adopted a new BTA with a tank purchase. I have had another BTA for a couple years which cloned.

Actually, my pursuits to disattach my clone are somewhat notorious.

The newly adopted BTA wandered incessantly, until I found a rock with a good sized :) hole. I placed the anemone there, in approximately the same place it had chosen to rest, and it immediately buried it's column and hasn't moved since.

Unlike some of the sand preferring anemones, the BTA seems to like this.

You can just wedge it in a hole in the rock work half way up. She will attach and move out to the edge to get some light. Wandering is not out of the question.

I have Maroon clown that has been getting increasingly aggressive the past few weeks,,, It really doesnt take up any one place to call a territory and pretty much swims all around the tank. I am persuing a 2x96W PC setup. Would a BTA in this situation do well. While also keeping the Maroon clown from being quite so aggressive over the whole of the tank, possibly just tending to the Anenome?

FYI: its a 30 gal tank, with 25 lbs LR, PM HOT-1skimmer, 2 firefish, 1 maroon clown, 1 cleaner shrimp, 4 blue legged hermits, 4 scarlet hermits, 1 mushroom, and a nice clump of star polyps. Chem. levels all in check.

It is not a moot point if he doesn't want it tumbling aroud the tank. Wandering is one thing. Tumbling on the currents is another.
