I am considering this skimmer for a 56 gal. FO tank with a dsb and about 55 lb. of LR. I'm curious as to your experiences with it. It is rated 25-250 gallons.
1.how do you like it overall
2. what size system are you running it on
3.What type of pump are you using
4.any chronic problems with it or things you don't like
5. any other comments.
I'm tinkering with one of my tanks, and have looked into several skimmers but not asked hobbyists about this particular one. I've heard it is a good product but want first hand impressions. Thanks so much.

I've got a Berlin HOT insump of my 75g. Typical of Berlin (and other) skimmers, rating to 250g is ridiculous.

It's T'd into the overflow, so no pump on mine. I will say it performs better than the Berlin Classic/Turbo I had, however, I would still put it in the POS category. :D

Dohn't know about their HOT, but my turbo and then the classic I got from someone taking down her tank are nothing but paperweights as far as I'm concerned.

I really like the berlin skimmers, I have the hang on version (which doulbes as in sump version) and I had an XL that I sold with my 100g. I really liked them, when setup properly they didnt return bubbles to the tank, and they do a excellent job skimming.

I'm not fond of the built in venturi, the kent venturi is a nice upgrade for it. L8r mega
