T,

Got your note, thanks -

Closed loops have nothing to do with filtration or sumps or fuges persay - aside from the CL being able to circulate trapped organics, it is an independant piece.

People usually put CL's into their system for additional and more targeted/dispersed flow. I don't believe there is a cookie cutter closed loop, meaning one size fits all, but the idea was to add more flow and keep the hardware out of the tank as best as possible.

I would run a MR search for Closed Loops and see what comes up - it is pretty much straight forward on what they do, but where to put it is a design question - and that's likely best determined by you (the designer:)

Hope all is well,

House

yeah i followed a few links off the squirt website and its more of a way to add a powerhead to the tank without showing it inside. And adding a closed loop to a sump i would have to add a fake closed loop in and another closed loop out and then match the flow rates which could end up on the floor in the end incase something happens.

Thanks for all the help guys =0)
