A good coral book is what you're looking for! I'd suggest The Reef Aquarium Volumes 1 + 2 and Eric Borneman's Corals book for starters.

The bubble appears healthy, doesn't look bleached and is expanded nicely. Is it doing something strange?

Do you have a closed polyps shot showing membrane attachment? It is where I usually look for signs of trouble.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeet, nice one Casey. Bubble coral looks beutifull, congrats. :D

your rock looks cool too, and im not 100% sure but they look more like Polyops than Aptasia, infact im allmost certain of it. :?

If you wanted a critical opinion, id say your sand bed may be a little on the course side. But as i said thats being critical. If you wanted too you could add some finer grade to it, a depth of 3-5" is optimum. You would be best with adding Oolitic sand, caribb sea do some really fine stuff, but im sure others do as well. But looks like your tank should be a cracker, happy reefin.

I don't know, I don't think they are polyps. When polyps opens up, their tentacles do not usually stay inflated like that. I am suspecting those are Anemonia majano
