Currently run a 100 gpd Barracuda ro/di system by AquaFX. In the past I have had a good pressure reading of 50-60 psi. Now I'm reading only 35 psi or so. There is no pressure loss throughout rest of the house nor from the clothes washer cold water hookup that I have the Barracuda split from. Could something be clogged in the ro/di unit itself? I replaced the di cartride and the two filter cartridges about a month ago, but initially the pressure was fine after they were replaced. Thanks for whatever help anyone can give me. :?:

Roughly how much water was through the unit??? Sounds like you need a new membrane. Do you have a backwash kit??

I've had the unit a little over a year. All topoff water (2-3 gpd) and water changes have been run through it. No I do not have a backwash kit.

hi.
I am not familiar with AquaFX, so it will be useful if you let us know where in the RO/DI unit does the pressure loss occurs. Most pressure gauage on RO units are on the membrane housing, and it is most useful to indicate a clogged prefilter, not membrane problem. If the feed pressure is usual, then one of the prefilters is probably clogged... by unless you tell us which one is the culpit, I am not going to guess more than I need to....

bye -ck-
