OK...I'll take the flames. I did not quarantine a Yellow Tang before I placed it in my tank and it developed a case of Marine Velvet. I've learned from my mistake and everything is going to be quarantined from now on.

I lost the Tang and a Royal Gramma I'd had for about 1 year. The Royal Gramma died three weeks ago. My two Ocellaris Clowns have survived and appear to be very healthy.

How long should I wait before restocking the tank? Is there anything I can or should do to make sure the water is OK. The chemical parameters are all good. pH = 8.2; sp. gr.=1.025; NH3=0; NO2=0; NO3=0

Also, any suggestions for replacements would be appreciated. I have a good crop of macroalgae that the tang was enjoying but I'm a little concerned about getting another. I would like to have a herbivore to graze. Just in case the Tang police are out there, my tank is 75 gallons so it may be marginally sized for a Tang.

Suggestions are always appreciated.

The parasites continue to be in your tank but they just don't show.
They still may on the clowns.
Wait 35 days and add one fish at a time. You should do the garlic extract feeding regimen as an ich preventative.
If you have some fish preferences let us know and we can help you before you buy.
Why risk another tang death Choose something else.
