Looking for your thoughts

I have a 75 reef with soft corals only, a hang on Refugium, and a 20 gallon sump. ( every bit of 150lbs of lr)

The tank is running well, but I'm thinking of doing away with the sump. As of now it's just housing the Skimmer, I have pleanty of water movement so no need for the returns.

The Hang on refugium is an Eyco System, with 20 lbs or mud. I have a calurpla farm back there... but the tangs love it.

(I recantly set up a 10 gallon nano...standard aga tank with a 96 watt coralife fixture, and a hang on skimmer and its working great. Thats why I'd like to try this)

Any thoughts would be great

That's reason enough to to keep the sump.

Like you've said, you just recently set up the nano... not enough time to evaluate its success. No need to switch your big set-up yet.
But I agree with meshaefer.
