Anyone know how close X10's can be to ICECAP ballasts? I have VHO and MH about 4 to 6 inches away. I have read that the Blueline ballast cause problems need to know if the ICECAP's will be the same.

I have not seen a X-10 work properly with a Icecap ballast yet.. let me know if yours does.. the icecaps seam to be a noisy ballast and produce a large back spike on shut down wich trigers the local controle on the X-10 modual.

The sell filters that will make the X-10 work.

I have not had any problems with my x-10's since adding filters for the halides and the icecaps. They are plugg-in filters.

Not exactly a cheap fix. 8O It's still a possibility to move the ballast futher away from outlet. Any recommended distance to start with? I'm not sure how far the interferance will travel. Or is that the only option other than back to mechanical timers.

I have an IceCap 660 and (2) IceCap 175W MH ballasts on X10 modules controlled by an AquaController. I have no problems. There is a very simple modification (one cut) you can make to the appliance modules that usually cures the problem--at least with IceCap.

Thats my point.. you can get other electronic ballasts that there is no need to cut the local controle and void your warenty.
